Bill Eckert is a Senior Financial Advisor at Renaissance Financial Corporation in Overland Park, KS. Bill
manages Family Offices for his high-net-worth clients to provide private wealth management through tax
and estate planning, risk management, investment management, trusteeship, lifestyle and concierge
services, philanthropic strategies and the coordination of other financial professionals.


Bill works with families owning highly appreciated assets, such as privately owned businesses, rental
property, real estate, farmland, and aids them in strategies that can help to reduce or eliminate capital
gains taxes and taxes on the recapture of depreciation upon their sale. Using various trusts, Bill helps these
families create more income from the asset, and more of a legacy for their family and favorite charities.
Bill is among a small group of professional advisors worldwide who is an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®)
and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®). As an AEP®, Bill is a member of the National Association of
Estate Planners and Councils which recognize estate planning professionals who meet stringent
requirements of experience, knowledge, education, professional reputation, and character, and who commit
to the team concept of estate planning. As a CAP®, Bill has received training that provides him with an indepth
knowledge of the entire philanthropic planning process, this includes, but is not limited to, estate and
trust documents, taxation, accounting, insurance, and investment tools to help clients articulate and
advance their highest aspirations for self, family, and society.


Professionally, Bill is a member of Advisors in Philanthropy and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. Bill
is a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas. He is also an
Instructor of Philanthropy at the University of Kansas OSHER Institute and a member of the University of
Kansas Veteran’s Alumni Network. He is a member of the American Heart Association’s Professional Advisor
Network.


Bill is an avid hunter and shares his passion for hunting with veterans as a way of honoring them for their
service and sacrifices. To accomplish this, Bill cofounded a non-profit organization called KAMO Adventures,
which takes veterans to a Missouri farm for turkey and deer hunting and to Stockton Lake for fishing.
Bill lives with his wife, Shanthi, in Leawood, Kansas, and they have four grown children and several
grandchildren who also live in Kansas City.
